As Dean explains, “I usually start with the guitar, but not always. I wrote Can’t Keep My Eyes Off Of You on an acoustic guitar, but sometimes I’ll start with a rhythm or beat.”
Dean is always saying, “The songwriting process isn’t complicated, but you’ve gotta feel it. You’ve got to be in the mood or it just isn’t going to happen.”
